October 2, 2017

eStore Logistics is pleased to announce the launch of a new 13,000 sqm eCommerce warehousing and order fulfillment facility located at 61 Australis Drive, Derrimut VIC in Melbourne’s West.

The new facility features 12,500 pallet positions, 18,000 pick bin locations, state of the art security and 45+ high resolution video surveillance cameras with 24/7 recording.

The new warehousing facility has been designed specifically for safe storage, alongside fast and accurate dispatch of goods for eCommerce and omni-channel retail clients.

eCommerce order profiles will be serviced from the facility as well as full case and split case picks for wholesale and direct to store requirements. The facility has been specifically designed to provide a flexible operation which can be scaled up based on seasonality, business growth and new clients.

The location of the warehousing facility was critical in selecting the warehouse as it resides:

  • 5 minutes from eStore Logistics HQ

The facility will service multiple clients, some of which are well known Australian eCommerce businesses. At peak season eStore Logistics will fulfill over 8,000 orders per day from the new warehouse. This increases eStore Logistics total daily fulfillment capacity to approximately 45,000 orders per day.

eStore Logistics has invested heavily to build a strong platform for growth which consists of well trained warehouse staff, a strong management team, best in class logistics systems and processes, and Australia’s best eCommerce fulfillment capabilities which support fulfillment of any product sold online.

Over the last 24 months eStore Logistics has acquired many new eCommerce and omni-channel clients and existing clients have continued to grow. Business optimisation and growth have been the main drivers for the requirement to open this additional warehousing facility.

Various new jobs are being created and eStore Logistics are currently hiring for new staff for the new site. The new roles include pick and pack, fork lift driver, administration, customer service, IT and management staff to support the new operation which is expected to require 80 new staff at it’s peak.
