eStore Logistics is committed to providing and maintaining a safe workplace in all operations. The business recognizes that occupational health and safety excellence is paramount in success for it’s staff, customers, partners and the business. It is for this reason that eStore Logistics imposes safety policies across all operations for staff, contractors, customers and visitors.

 

Occupational Health & Safety Policy

eStore Logistics acknowledges its fundamental obligation to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment so as to control risks to its employees, contractors and the public.

eStore Logistics will comply with its legal obligations in achieving and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

eStore Logistics will develop safe systems of work and conduct its operations in accordance with its designated work practices and standards. Management responsibilities include:

  • Providing safe work practices and standards
  • Ensuring employees are competent to undertake tasks
  • Providing safe and appropriate plant and equipment
  • Regular inspection and maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Regular monitoring of workplace to identify and control hazards
  • Investigating accidents and incidents

Employees will comply with the work practices and standards stipulated by eStore Logistics. Employee responsibilities include:

  • Reporting hazards and incidents
  • Wearing designated personal protective equipment
  • Complying with any designated work practices and procedures

eStore Logistics acknowledges the need for consultation and co-operation with its employees in achieving a safe and healthy workplace. Employees will, in turn, co-operate with and assist eStore Logistics in achieving the aims of this policy.

 

Drug & Alcohol Policy

eStore Logistics is committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and associated stakeholders. For this reason, it is our objective to maintain a work environment in which the safety and the optimum performance of employees is not adversely affected by the use of alcohol or other drugs.

Under all State and Territory Occupational Health and Safety Acts, eStore Logistics has an obligation to provide a safe working environment. As such, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and associated stakeholders engaged at eStore Logistcs are not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during working hours and must at all times carry out their duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.

Where applicable, eStore Logistics will also comply with the requirements of a client or principal contractor’s alcohol and drug policy and fitness for work program.

Employees, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and associated stakeholders who arrive at eStore Logistics under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be considered unfit for work. If you are taking prescription medicine that may have an adverse effect when driving or operating machinery or that may be detected during a random drug and alcohol test, you are required to notify the relevant eStore Logistics supervisor.

eStore Logistics reserves the right to introduce drug and alcohol testing for employees on a random or with cause basis.

Any breach of the above policy will be viewed as serious misconduct with grounds for disciplinary action and may result in immediate dismissal.
